[24] A root (hetu) phenomenon (dhamma) is a condition (paccaya) for a non-root (na-hetu) phenomenon by postnascence condition (pacchājāta-paccaya):
postnascent (pacchājāta) roots are a condition for this prenascent (purejāta) body by postnascence condition.
A non-root phenomenon is a condition for a non-root phenomenon by postnascence condition:
postnascent non-root aggregates (khandhā) are a condition for this prenascent body by postnascence condition.
A root phenomenon and a non-root phenomenon are a condition for a non-root phenomenon by postnascence condition:
postnascent roots and the associated (sampayuttaka) aggregates are a condition for this prenascent body by postnascence condition.
