[395] Dependent on a clinging phenomenon (upādāna-dhamma), a clinging phenomenon arises, not by prenascence condition (na-purejāta-paccaya): in the immaterial plane (arūpa), dependent on clinging to a doctrine of self (attavādupādāna), clinging to sensuality (kāmupādāna) arises; dependent on clinging to sensuality, clinging to a doctrine of self arises.
Dependent on a clinging phenomenon, a non-clinging phenomenon (no-upādāna-dhamma) arises, not by prenascence condition: in the immaterial plane, dependent on the clingings, the associated aggregates arise; dependent on the clingings, mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) arises.
