[584] A phenomenon (dhamma) to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena pahātabba) is a condition for a phenomenon to be abandoned by seeing by way of the presence condition (atthi-paccaya): similar to the dependence section (paṭicca). A phenomenon to be abandoned by seeing is a condition for a phenomenon not to be abandoned by seeing by way of the presence condition: conascence (sahajāta), postnascence (pacchājāta). A phenomenon to be abandoned by seeing is a condition for a phenomenon to be abandoned by seeing and for a phenomenon not to be abandoned by seeing by way of the presence condition: similar to the dependence section. A phenomenon not to be abandoned by seeing is a condition for a phenomenon not to be abandoned by seeing by way of the presence condition: conascence, prenascence (purejāta), postnascence, nutriment (āhāra), faculty (indriya). Conascent: the aggregates to be abandoned by seeing and the primary elements (mahābhūtā) are a condition for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) by way of the presence condition. Postnascent: the aggregates to be abandoned by seeing and edible nutriment (kabaḷīkāra āhāra) are a condition for this body by way of the presence condition.
