[617] A phenomenon (dhamma) that does not have a root to be abandoned by seeing (na-dassanena-pahātabba-hetuka), mingled (saṃsaṭṭha) with a phenomenon that has a root to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena-pahātabba-hetuka), arises not by way of root condition (na-hetupaccayā): the delusion (moha) accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), mingled with the aggregates (khandha) accompanied by doubt.
A phenomenon that does not have a root to be abandoned by seeing, mingled with a phenomenon that does not have a root to be abandoned by seeing, arises not by way of root condition: three aggregates, mingled with one rootless (ahetuka) aggregate that does not have a root to be abandoned by seeing; with two aggregates …; at the moment of rootless rebirth-linking (ahetuka-paṭisandhikkhaṇa); the delusion accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), mingled with the aggregates accompanied by restlessness.
