[759] With a form-sphere phenomenon (rūpāvacara dhamma) as condition, a form-sphere phenomenon arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya): the three (cases) are similar to those in the dependence chapter (paṭicca[vāra]).
With a not-form-sphere phenomenon (na-rūpāvacara dhamma) as condition, a not-form-sphere phenomenon arises by root condition: with one not-form-sphere aggregate (khandha) as condition, three aggregates and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arise] — (and so on) up to the internal primary elements (ajjhattikā mahābhūtā); with the base (vatthu) as condition, the not-form-sphere aggregates [arise].
With a not-form-sphere phenomenon as condition, a form-sphere phenomenon arises by root condition: with the base as condition, the form-sphere aggregates [arise]; (at) rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi).
With a not-form-sphere phenomenon as condition, form-sphere and not-form-sphere phenomena arise by root condition: with the base as condition, the form-sphere aggregates [arise]; with the primary elements as condition, mind-originated form [arises]; (at) rebirth-linking.
With a form-sphere phenomenon and a not-form-sphere phenomenon as condition, a form-sphere phenomenon arises by root condition: with one form-sphere aggregate and the base as condition, three aggregates [arise]; with two aggregates … ; (at) rebirth-linking.
With a form-sphere phenomenon and a not-form-sphere phenomenon as condition, a not-form-sphere phenomenon arises by root condition: with the form-sphere aggregates and the primary elements as condition, mind-originated form [arises]; (at) rebirth-linking.
