[91] With a phenomenon (dhamma) that is a mental factor (cetasika) as condition, a phenomenon that is a mental factor arises, not by root condition (na-hetu-paccaya): with a rootless (ahetuka) mental factor … Abridged. Nine questions. The five sense-consciousnesses (pañcaviññāṇa), too, should be done in the same way as under the object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya). Delusion (moha) occurs in only three. All the questions should be done by way of occurrence (pavatti) and rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi) by one who is unconfused.
