[1158] Dependent on a wholesome phenomenon (kusala dhamma) that is subject to taints (sāsava), a wholesome phenomenon that is subject to taints arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya). Dependent on a wholesome phenomenon that is not subject to taints (anāsava), a wholesome phenomenon that is not subject to taints arises by root condition.
