[1249] An unwholesome (akusala) phenomenon (dhamma) associated with fetters (saññojana-sampayutta) is a condition (paccaya) for an unwholesome phenomenon associated with fetters, by root condition (hetu-paccaya). An unwholesome phenomenon dissociated from fetters (saññojana-vippayutta) is a condition for an unwholesome phenomenon dissociated from fetters, by root condition.
