[1357] Dependent on a wholesome (kusala) phenomenon (dhamma) that is favorable to the hindrances (nīvaraṇiya), a wholesome phenomenon that is favorable to the hindrances arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya). Dependent on a wholesome phenomenon that is not favorable to the hindrances (anīvaraṇiya), a wholesome phenomenon that is not favorable to the hindrances arises by root condition.
