[1653] In dependence on an unwholesome (akusala) phenomenon (dhamma) with roots to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena-pahātabbahetuka), there arises an unwholesome phenomenon with roots to be abandoned by seeing, by root condition (hetu-paccaya). In dependence on an unwholesome phenomenon without roots to be abandoned by seeing (na-dassanena-pahātabbahetuka), there arises an unwholesome phenomenon without roots to be abandoned by seeing, by root condition. In dependence on an unwholesome phenomenon without roots to be abandoned by seeing, there arises an unwholesome phenomenon with roots to be abandoned by seeing, by root condition. In dependence on an unwholesome phenomenon with roots to be abandoned by seeing and an unwholesome phenomenon without roots to be abandoned by seeing, there arises an unwholesome phenomenon with roots to be abandoned by seeing, by root condition.
