[241] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is a root (hetu) and is defiled and subject to defilement (saṅkiliṭṭha-saṅkilesika) is a condition for a phenomenon that is a root and is defiled and subject to defilement by way of object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya). It is a condition by way of connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya). It is a condition by way of decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya).
