[252] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is a root (hetu), not defiled but liable to defilement (asaṅkiliṭṭha-saṅkilesika), is a condition, by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya), for a phenomenon that is a root, not defiled but liable to defilement: nine.
