[251] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is a root (hetu) and not defiled but subject to defilement (asaṅkiliṭṭha-saṅkilesika) is a condition, by root condition (hetu-paccaya), for a phenomenon that is a root and not defiled but subject to defilement. Three.
