[424] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is a root (hetu) and has roots to be abandoned by development (bhāvanāya pahātabbahetuka) is a condition, by root condition (hetu-paccaya), for a phenomenon that is a root and has roots to be abandoned by development. (Three.)
