[437] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is a root (hetu) and has roots to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (neva dassanena na bhāvanāya pahātabbahetuka) is a condition for a phenomenon that is a root and has roots to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development, by root condition (hetu-paccaya).
