[399] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is a root (hetu) and is to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (neva-dassanena-na-bhāvanāya-pahātabba) is a condition for a phenomenon that is a root and is to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development, by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya): nine.
