[557] An exalted (mahaggata) phenomenon (dhamma) that is a root (hetu) is a condition, by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya), for an exalted phenomenon that is a root: three. An exalted phenomenon that is not a root is a condition, by object condition, for an exalted phenomenon that is not a root: three. An exalted phenomenon that is a root and an exalted phenomenon that is not a root are a condition, by object condition, for an exalted phenomenon that is a root: three.
