[947] Dependent (paṭicca) on an unwholesome (akusala) phenomenon (dhamma) associated with roots (hetusampayutta), there arises an unwholesome phenomenon associated with roots, by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya). Three [cases]. Dependent on an unwholesome phenomenon dissociated from roots (hetuvippayutta), there arises an unwholesome phenomenon associated with roots, by object condition. Dependent on an unwholesome phenomenon associated with roots and an unwholesome phenomenon dissociated from roots, there arises an unwholesome phenomenon associated with roots, by object condition.
