[99] A root (hetu) phenomenon (dhamma) associated (sampayutta) with painful feeling (dukkhā vedanā) is a condition (paccaya) for a root phenomenon associated with painful feeling by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya): three. A non-root phenomenon associated with painful feeling is a condition for a non-root phenomenon associated with painful feeling by object condition: three. A root phenomenon associated with painful feeling and a non-root phenomenon associated with painful feeling are a condition for a root phenomenon associated with painful feeling by object condition: three.
