[1] Dependent on (paṭicca) a not-wholesome (na-kusala) phenomenon (dhamma), a not-wholesome phenomenon arises by root condition (hetupaccayā): dependent on one aggregate (khandha) that is unwholesome (akusala) or indeterminate (abyākata), three aggregates and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arise]; dependent on two aggregates, two aggregates and mind-originated form [arise].
Dependent on a not-wholesome phenomenon, a not-unwholesome (na-akusala) phenomenon arises by root condition.
