[1271] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is not both-free-of-taints-and-not-a-taint (na-anāsavañceva-na-no-ca-āsava) and is not a root (na-hetu), a phenomenon that is subject to taints but not a taint (sāsavañceva-no-ca-āsava) and is a not-root (na-hetu) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā).
