[31] A not-past (na-atīta) phenomenon (dhamma) is a condition (paccaya) for a not-past phenomenon by root condition (hetu-paccaya). A not-past phenomenon is a condition for a not-future (na-anāgata) phenomenon by root condition. A not-past phenomenon is a condition for a not-past and a not-future phenomenon by root condition.
A not-future phenomenon is a condition for a not-future phenomenon by root condition. A not-future phenomenon is a condition for a not-past phenomenon by root condition. A not-future phenomenon is a condition for a not-past and a not-future phenomenon by root condition.
A not-past and a not-future phenomenon are a condition for a not-past phenomenon by root condition.
