[461] A not-root (na-hetu) phenomenon (dhamma) not accompanied by roots (na-sahetuka) is a condition (paccaya) for a not-root phenomenon not accompanied by roots by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya). A not-root phenomenon not accompanied by roots is a condition for a phenomenon that is not a not-root (na-nahetu) and is not accompanied by roots by object condition.
