[747] Dependent on a wholesome (kusala) phenomenon (dhamma) that is undefiled and not subject to defilement (asaṅkiliṭṭha-asaṅkilesika), a not-wholesome (na-kusala) phenomenon that is not undefiled and not subject to defilement (na-asaṅkiliṭṭha-asaṅkilesika) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā): three. Dependent on an indeterminate (abyākata) phenomenon that is undefiled and not subject to defilement, a not-wholesome phenomenon that is not undefiled and not subject to defilement arises by root condition: three.
