[852] Dependent on a wholesome (kusala) phenomenon (dhamma) that is undefiled but subject to defilement (asaṅkiliṭṭhasaṅkilesika), a not-wholesome (na-kusala) phenomenon that is not defiled and subject to defilement (na-saṅkiliṭṭhasaṅkilesika) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā). Three. Dependent on a wholesome phenomenon that is undefiled and not subject to defilement (asaṅkiliṭṭha-asaṅkilesika), a not-wholesome phenomenon that is not undefiled and not subject to defilement (na-asaṅkiliṭṭha-asaṅkilesika) arises by root condition.
