[185] And what, bhikkhus, is a unanimous act with a semblance of the Dhamma (dhammapaṭirūpakena samaggakammaṃ)?
If, bhikkhus, in an act with a motion as second (ñattidutiya kamma), one recites the proclamation of the act (kammavācā) first and sets forth the motion (ñatti) afterwards, and as many bhikkhus as are entitled to take part in the act have come, the consent (chanda) of those entitled to give consent has been conveyed, and those present do not object — this is a unanimous act with a semblance of the Dhamma.
If, bhikkhus, in an act with a motion as fourth (ñatticatuttha kamma), one recites the proclamation of the act first and sets forth the motion afterwards, and as many bhikkhus as are entitled to take part in the act have come, the consent of those entitled to give consent has been conveyed, and those present do not object — this is a unanimous act with a semblance of the Dhamma.
This, bhikkhus, is called a unanimous act with a semblance of the Dhamma.
