[190] Bhikkhus, if, in the case of a formal act (kamma) requiring a group of ten, a group with a bhikkhunī as the tenth should perform the act, it is not a valid act and ought not to be done.
Bhikkhus, if, in the case of a formal act requiring a group of ten, a group with a female probationer (sikkhamānā) as the tenth … with a novice (sāmaṇera) as the tenth … with a female novice (sāmaṇerī) as the tenth … with one who has renounced the training as the tenth … with one who has committed an extreme offense (antimavatthu) as the tenth … with one suspended for not seeing an offense as the tenth … with one suspended for not making amends for an offense as the tenth … with one suspended for not relinquishing an evil view as the tenth … with a paṇḍaka as the tenth … with one living in communion by theft (theyyasaṃvāsaka) as the tenth … with one who has gone over to another sect (titthiyapakkantaka) as the tenth … with an animal as the tenth … with a matricide as the tenth … with a patricide as the tenth … with a killer of an arahant as the tenth … with a violator of a bhikkhunī as the tenth … with a schismatic (saṅghabhedaka) as the tenth … with a shedder of [a Tathāgata's] blood (lohituppādaka) as the tenth … with a hermaphrodite (ubhatobyañjanaka) as the tenth … with one belonging to a different communion (nānāsaṃvāsaka) as the tenth … with one standing within a different boundary (sīmā) as the tenth … with one standing in the air by psychic power as the tenth … with the very person against whom the Saṅgha performs the act as the tenth should perform the act, it is not a valid act and ought not to be done.
