[160] Bhikkhus, when a bhikkhu possesses five further factors, the Saṅgha, if it wishes, may carry out an act of reconciliation (paṭisāraṇīyakamma) against him: he speaks in dispraise of the Buddha to householders; he speaks in dispraise of the Dhamma to householders; he speaks in dispraise of the Saṅgha to householders; he scolds householders with what is low; he reviles householders with what is low; he does not make good a legitimate promise given to householders. Bhikkhus, when a bhikkhu possesses these five factors, the Saṅgha, if it wishes, may carry out an act of reconciliation against him.
