[22] Bhikkhus, an act of censure (tajjanīyakamma) possessed of three further factors is both a legitimate act (dhammakamma) and an act in accordance with the Vinaya (vinayakamma), and is well settled: it is done for an offence (āpatti); it is done in accordance with the Dhamma; it is done by a united [Saṅgha]. Bhikkhus, an act of censure possessed of these three factors is both a legitimate act and an act in accordance with the Vinaya, and is well settled.
