[23] Bhikkhus, an act of censure (tajjanīyakamma) possessed of three further factors is both an act in accordance with the Dhamma and an act in accordance with the Vinaya, and is well settled: it is done for an offense requiring confession (desanāgāminī āpatti); it is done in accordance with the Dhamma; it is done by a united [Saṅgha].
Bhikkhus, an act of censure possessed of these three factors is both an act in accordance with the Dhamma and an act in accordance with the Vinaya, and is well settled.
