[384] "And thus, bhikkhus, should it be given. Bhikkhus, that bhikkhu Udāyī should approach the Saṅgha, arrange his upper robe over one shoulder, pay homage at the feet of the senior bhikkhus, sit down on his heels, raise his joined palms in reverence, and address it thus:
'Venerable sirs, I have committed one offense (āpatti) — the intentional emission of semen — concealed for one day. Venerable sirs, I request from the Saṅgha probation (parivāsa) of one day on account of that one offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for one day.'
A second time it should be requested; a third time it should be requested."
