[416] "And thus, bhikkhus, should it be given. Bhikkhus, that bhikkhu Udāyī should approach the Saṅgha, arrange his upper robe (uttarāsaṅga) over one shoulder, pay homage at the feet of the senior bhikkhus, sit down on his heels, raise his joined palms in reverence, and say thus: 'Venerable sirs, I have fallen into one offense (āpatti) of intentional emission of semen (sañcetanikā sukkavisaṭṭhi), concealed for a half-month. Venerable sirs, I request from the Saṅgha a half-month probation (pakkhaparivāsa) for that one offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for a half-month.'
He should make the request a second time; he should make the request a third time."
