[415] Now at that time the Venerable Udāyi had committed one offense (āpatti) of intentional emission of semen (sañcetanikā sukkavisaṭṭhi), concealed for a fortnight. He informed the bhikkhus: "Friends, I have committed one offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for a fortnight. How, then, should I proceed?" Those bhikkhus reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Well then, bhikkhus, let the Saṅgha grant the bhikkhu Udāyi a fortnight's probation (pakkhaparivāsa) for the one offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for a fortnight."
