[386] He, having completed his probation (parivāsa), informed the bhikkhus: "Friends, I committed one offense (āpatti) — intentional emission of semen (sañcetanikā sukkavisaṭṭhi) — concealed for one day. For that one offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for one day, I requested from the Saṅgha probation of one day. The Saṅgha granted me probation of one day for that one offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for one day. I have now completed my probation. How, then, should I proceed?" Those bhikkhus reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Well then, bhikkhus, let the Saṅgha give the bhikkhu Udāyī mānatta for six nights for the one offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for one day."
