[562] Two bhikkhus have committed a saṅghādisesa offense (saṅghādisesa). They hold the view, regarding those saṅghādisesas, that they are saṅghādisesas. One thinks, "I will disclose it"; one thinks, "I will not disclose it." He conceals it through the first watch, conceals it through the second watch, and conceals it through the third watch; when dawn has risen, the offense (āpatti) is concealed. The one who conceals it should be made to confess an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). And having given him probation (parivāsa) in accordance with the concealment, penance (mānatta) should be given to both.
