[565] Two bhikkhus have committed a saṅghādisesa offense. While the Pātimokkha is being recited, they say thus: "Only just now do we know that this rule, it seems, has come down in the recitation, is included in the recitation, and comes up for recitation every half-month." They regard the saṅghādisesa offenses as saṅghādisesa offenses. One conceals; one does not conceal. The one who conceals should be made to confess an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). And, having given him probation (parivāsa) in accordance with the concealment, penance (mānatta) should be given to both.
