[104] Now at that time the group-of-six bhikkhus (chabbaggiyā bhikkhū) slept on beds strewn with flowers. People, wandering about on a tour of the dwelling, saw this and complained, criticized, and spread it about: "… just like householders who enjoy sensual pleasures." They reported this matter to the Blessed One. … "Bhikkhus, one should not sleep on beds strewn with flowers. Whoever should so sleep commits an offence (āpatti) of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa)."
