[214] Now at that time the group-of-six bhikkhus (chabbaggiyā bhikkhū) slept on a high bed. People, wandering about on a tour of the dwellings, seeing this, complained, criticized, and spread it about: "… just like householders who enjoy sensual pleasures" … They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, one should not sleep on a high bed; whoever should sleep on one commits an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa)."
