[107] Now at that time the group-of-six bhikkhus ate from a raised salver (āsittakupadhāna). People looked down upon it, criticized it, and spread it about, saying, "… just like householders who enjoy sensual pleasures." They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, one should not eat from a raised salver. Whoever should eat so commits an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa)."
