[15] Now at that time the group-of-six (chabbaggiyā) bhikkhus looked at the reflection of their faces in a mirror (ādāsa) and also in a bowl of water. People complained, criticized, and spread it about, … "just like householders who enjoy sensual pleasures" … They reported this matter to the Blessed One. … "Bhikkhus, the reflection of the face should not be looked at in a mirror or in a bowl of water. Whoever should look, there is an offence (āpatti) of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa)."
