[229] Now at that time bhikkhus made an inner chamber (gabbha) in the middle of a small dwelling (vihāra). There was no surrounding access space (upacāra). They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, I allow an inner chamber to be made to one side in a small dwelling, and in the middle in a large one."
