[269] Then the Blessed One, wandering by stages on tour, arrived at Sāvatthī. There the Blessed One dwelt at Sāvatthī, in Jeta's Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika's park. Then Anāthapiṇḍika the householder approached the Blessed One; having approached and paid homage to the Blessed One, he sat down to one side. Seated to one side, Anāthapiṇḍika the householder said this to the Blessed One: "Venerable sir, may the Blessed One together with the community of bhikkhus consent to accept my meal for tomorrow." The Blessed One consented by silence. Then Anāthapiṇḍika the householder, having understood the Blessed One's consent, rose from his seat, paid homage to the Blessed One, circumambulated him keeping his right side towards him, and departed.
