[319] Now at that time bhikkhus stepped upon a lodging (senāsana) with their sandals (upāhanā) on. The lodging became soiled. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, a lodging should not be stepped upon by one wearing sandals. Whoever should step upon one commits an offence of wrong-doing (āpatti dukkaṭassa)."
