[326] Now at that time the group-of-six bhikkhus, having taken the excellent meals for themselves, gave the inferior meals to the bhikkhus. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, I allow that a bhikkhu endowed with five qualities be agreed upon as distributor of meals (bhattuddesaka): one who would not go a wrong course out of desire, would not go a wrong course out of hatred, would not go a wrong course out of delusion, would not go a wrong course out of fear, and who would know what has been assigned and what has not been assigned."
