[331] Now at that time trifling requisites (parikkhāra) had accumulated in the Saṅgha's storeroom. They informed the Blessed One of this matter. "Bhikkhus, I allow the appointment (sammati) of a bhikkhu possessed of five qualities as distributor of trifles (appamattakavissajjaka): one who would not take a wrong course through desire, would not take a wrong course through hatred, would not take a wrong course through delusion, would not take a wrong course through fear, and who would know what has been distributed and what has not been distributed."
