[39] Now at that time, bhikkhus set a bowl out to dry in the sun while it still contained water. The bowl became foul-smelling. They informed the Blessed One of this matter. …
"Bhikkhus, a bowl containing water should not be set out to dry in the sun. Whoever should so dry it commits an offence of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). Bhikkhus, I allow you, having first emptied it of water and dried it in the sun, then to put the bowl away."
