[42] Now at that time bhikkhus placed their bowls on the edge of a ledge (miḍḍha). Having rolled over, a bowl broke. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. … "Bhikkhus, a bowl should not be placed on the edge of a ledge. Whoever should so place one commits an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa)."
