[52] Now at that time bhikkhus went about for alms with a water-pot vessel (ghaṭikaṭāha). People criticized, complained, and spread it about, saying, "… just like the sectarians (titthiyā)." They reported this matter to the Blessed One. … "Bhikkhus, one should not go about for alms with a water-pot vessel. Whoever should go about so commits an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa)."
