[587] Now at that time bhikkhunīs, giving the invitation (pavāraṇā) before the meal, let the time pass by. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, I allow a bhikkhunī to give the invitation after the meal." But even giving the invitation after the meal, they were still at it at the wrong time. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, I allow them, having given the invitation before the Bhikkhunī Saṅgha today, to give the invitation before the Bhikkhu Saṅgha on the following day."
