[586] Now at that time, bhikkhunīs (bhikkhunī), making the invitation (pavāraṇā) together with bhikkhus, created an uproar. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, a bhikkhunī should not make the invitation together with bhikkhus; whoever should so invite commits an offense of wrong-doing (āpatti dukkaṭassa)."
